DigitalEve Mentoring Project

by tech last modified 2004-10-24 07:48

One of the best ways to help women become leaders in their fields is through mentoring. DigitalEve Japan pairs women with experience in business and technology with women who are eager to explore technology and expand their leadership roles.

We have the answers to some frequently asked questions about mentoring.

First Cohort

DigitalEve Japan's first mentoring project (November 2001 - May 2002) focuses on career skills and includes 10 participants:

Elizabeth Noll & Angela Im
Lauren Shannon & Julianne Spicer
Hisako Sento & Selwa Sweidan
Ivy Ang & Sanae Aoyagi
Alexis Alvarez & Kristin Newton

Each pair meets monthly either online or face-to-face to talk about focus issues that might include career/life balance, goal setting, time management, or multiculturalism.

After six months everyone meets together to evaluate the program and share their stories and ideas for future mentoring programs

Future Mentoring Projects

DigitalEve UK are planning an international mentoring program in 2002 (all online) to engage DigitalEve Japan members as mentors and mentees.

Locally, we'd like to expand our career mentoring program and begin a technical "coaching" program.
